Kasol on the way to Kullu-Manali region is a timid village in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Kheerganga is a treasured place as a trekking spot and sacred to Hindus and Sikhs alike. The infamous hot water springs are deemed to be soothing and refreshing in the valley of Parvati. There are many legends related to this place which are now sung as folklore among the locals. The beautiful campsites in the valley of Parvati overlooking the daunting mountains of snow in the Himalayas are some of the many things to look forward to.

The trip to Kheerganga from Kasol is in itself an awe-inspiring one as you traverse through the humble surroundings adorned with panoramic views of the landscapes.

Parvati River:

Parvati River originating from the Mantalai glacial and merging with the Beas River in Bhuntar is definitely one of the famous tourist spots in Kasol. The valley of the Parvati River is another sight in itself. The snow-peak mountains peeking from the background as you enjoy the serenity of the river is otherworldly. There are several adventure activities that you can take part in while at the valley like rock climbing and trekking. The Parvati River also offers water sports like river rafting. If you want to go fishing, take permission from the Forest Department and you are good to go.

The visit to Parvati River is best experienced in the months of April to June when the river is at its peak and weather conditions are pleasant. It is advisable to avoid visiting Parvati River in monsoon as it is prone to flooding.

Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara:

The soul-fulfilling environment of Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara religious place is enough to attract tourists over and over again. The devotees, the first time visitors and regular visitors- this sacred place is full of them. The hot spring of the gurdwara is known to be therapeutic and you can take a dip in it. The several elements present in this hot spring have proved to have healing properties. In fact, the hot spring water is used to boil the food that is cooked for the langar in the Gurudwara.

With several religious importance the Gurudwara is dear to pilgrims of Hindus and Sikhs alike. The long history of Lord shiva and Guru Nanak prevails in the surroundings of this place. Situated at the bank of River Parvati, Gurudwara also provides beautiful scenic sights of the mountains and valleys.

Malana Village:

Malana with its time-long history has a very different culture, almost as if it were their own little world. The villagers believe themselves to be descendents of Alexander the great and have their own democracy and even a completely different language- Kanashi. Experience the unique culture of the valley which is often known as taboo valley or even Magic Valley.

Apart from its culture, Malana Valley is rich in scenic vistas as well. The rugged mountains at an elevation of 1,580 will sway you off your feet. You can see the famous peaks like Chanderkhani and Deotibba looming over in the sky. The springs of Malana amidst this tricky terrain seems to be the blessing (literally). According to the locals this spring is sacred by their very own god Jamlu Rishi. Walk up to Malana Valley from Kasol at a distance of 22 km.

Tosh:

Tosh is a hamlet near Kasol which recently gained popularity due to its cheap accommodations. However, Tosh is just not that. Surrounded by mountains on each side at an elevation of 7900 feet, this small village provides you with soothing and stunning views at the same time. You can take a walk in the surrounding area and feel the pleasant weather of Tosh.

The apple fields with green pasture land are another hotspot of Tosh village. The backpackers come from all over the place to experience life at Tosh. There are many trance parties going on at night time in this quaint little village offering a lively nightlife. If you are in search of wholesome experience then Tosh is the stop you need to make while visiting Kasol.
