The sequel to the Academy Award-winning film Sicario is coming out on Netflix. We know you’re excited about Sicario 2, but what do we actually know about it? Here’s everything that we know so far.
Following such a successful debut, the two features delighted audiences with mostly positive reviews. The plot is about the US government’s efforts to start another gang war on the border with Mexico.
On the US-Mexico border, a military project team recruits an FBI agent who is eager to help fight the growing drug war. While Sicario may not be the greatest blockbuster of our decade, it rates among the greatest smuggling-cartel movies of all time.
People who enjoy breaking the law are at the center of this tragic tale of criminals gone awry. Incredibly well-developed characters and a realistic picture of today’s reality are the hallmarks of this film’s success.
‘Sicario’ was a big hit at the box office when it was released in 2015, causing quite a stir among critics. ‘Sicario’s’ world was gloomy but realistic, and its political notion seemed appropriate for a setting like that. Sicario’s first film was well praised, but the same could not be said for the second season, which resulted in a significant setback.
Soldado’s ending has lots of room for a follow-up and the producers themselves have hinted at a third feature. According to our current knowledge, “Sicario 3” is the last film in the series.

Release Date Sicario: Capos
Soldado, a follow-up to the original film, was commissioned by Lionsgate and titled after del Toro’s character. Taylor Sheridan was in charge of the project.
Producers Molly Smith and Trent Luckinbill announced in April 2016 that del Toro and Brolin would be returning for a second season.
Villeneuve was unable to direct because of conflicting schedules, therefore Stefano Sollima, an Italian filmmaker, was brought in to fill in.
On November 8, 2016, the first day of filming began in New Mexico.
In the United States, Sicario: Day of the Soldado was released on June 29, 2018, and received mostly excellent reviews.
Prior to the release of the second film, a third film titled Sicario: Capos was announced, and producer Molly Smith stated that it was still in development as of February 2021.
Sicario: Capos will be released on 10 Feb. 2023.
Storyline Of Sicario 3
Hitman in Spanish, Sicario tells the story of a devoted FBI agent who joins forces with a national response squad to kill the violent and vicious drug gang leader. Sicario: Day of the Soldado’s sequel shifted gears from drug smuggling to human trafficking when Blunt was already out of the picture. In the event that a third film is created, it is likely that it will continue from where Sicario 2 left off.
Everyone assumes Alejandro is dead after he is shot by a nascent gang member at the end of Day of Soldado. After a rookie gang member Miguel shot him in the face, Alejandro managed to escape death at the show’s climax.
A year later, Alejandro still looks to be alive. In spite of this, the bullet hole in his cheek is quite large. Amid the chaos, Miguel escaped but was left behind. He headed out to find him. It looks like Alejandro is wooing Miguel in the final scene of the film, which was shot one year after the original shooting.
Asked if he wanted to be a hitman, Alejandro decides to instruct the young man and begin training him. He’s no longer the assassin he used to be.
It looks like the conclusion to Sicario: Day of Soldado may hint at a third film in the franchise. The signs point to his making Miguel his ally in the pursuit of Reyes’s nefarious activities. In the next film, there may be some sort of trainee relationship between the two characters, as hinted at in the conclusion.
On the other side of the law are Alejandro and Matt, and Kate Macer makes a comeback. There may also be a connection between Alejandro and Macer, as the two films have brought them together philosophically. It’s possible that Miguel and Alejandro may work together in Sicario 3 and battle Blunt’s villain twice.
