Apple iPhone users are facing the issue that they accidentally deleted the Settings icon from the home screen and they don’t know how to get it back. The Settings are still accessible through spotlight search but they want the icon to appear on the home screen. The Settings App is an essential part of iOS as it controls how the iPhone works. So, you are in big trouble if you have lost your Settings App. Below is how you can get the Settings icon back on the home screen with ease.

Moved to Another Place

The Settings icon can’t be deleted; it can be moved into a folder accidentally. When it is searched in the spotlight, on the right side of the screen, it might display the folder it has been shifted to. Go to that folder and move the Settings icon back to the home screen. Otherwise, it may have shifted to another screen page. So, search through your iPhone’s other screen pages; you may find the Settings icon on some other screen page.

Update iOS

Another solution to get the Settings icon back on the home screen is to connect your iPhone to your PC and reinstall your iOS. Don’t restore the iOS, rather update it. Before you update, do backup your data to keep it safe.

Reset Home Screen Layout

In spotlight search, type Settings in the search bar to launch Settings App. In Settings, go to General and then Reset. Under the Reset tab, tap on Reset Home Screen Layout. After confirming to reset, the home screen will be restored to factory layout.

Restart the iPhone

Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the slider to turn the iPhone off appears. Turn off the iPhone. Then, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until the Apple logo appears. By restarting your iPhone, the Settings icon may reappear on the home screen.

Reset iPhone

Try to reset your iPhone to get the Settings icon back on the home screen. To reset the iPhone, press and hold the sleep button and home button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears on the screen. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons and allow the iPhone to boot normally.
