The Office closed the message by advising people needing assistance to contact Trans Lifeline and Trans: Thrive, both of which have drop-in hours on Friday and Saturday. The activist published what looks to be a suicide note on her Facebook page before she committed suicide.

She began, “I’m sorry. I gave this a lot of thinking before this morning. How do you tell all the lovely beings you know “goodbye,” “I’m sorry,” and “I love you”? one final time? There isn’t a good way. That’s what I learned through all that contemplation.

The actress continued apologizing to anyone she could have offended or failed with her behavior and urging people to recall her happier moments.  She wrote, “To those who are angry at me: please forgive me. “To those of you who are concerned that you failed me: no. To those who feel I failed you, I sincerely apologize and hope you will think fondly of me in the future.

Dorfman ended her letter by pleading with her loved ones to let her daughter know she was loved and wasn’t to fault for her choice to terminate her life.

I adore you all. I apologize. Please help my daughter Naia realize that nothing that has happened is her fault. Please let her know that I adored her with all of my heart,” she said concludingly.
