A New Jersey web designer allegedly stabbed and killed a shopkeeper he knew and the man’s dog during a brawl over the weekend. Donovan G. Hollingsworth25 years old, charged with first-degree murder, and two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, according to Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and Evesham Township Police.

The suspect is said to have been stabbed to death Fragrantlike Pierson III26. He and Pierson caused a scuffle in an apartment on Saturday, officials said. Victim’s dog Django were also found with stab wounds and will likely be charged more with this.

Hollingsworth worked as a web designer and Pierson was a salesperson, according to New Jersey 101.5. Authorities did not give a motive or say how the fight began, but the men are believed to be friends on Facebook.

Hollingsworth fled the scene and Evesham police arrested him at Virtua Voorhees Hospital, where he was being treated for minor injuries on Saturday, according to prosecutors. Pierson is awaiting an autopsy. The Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office is scheduled to perform the autopsy on Monday.

Hollingsworth is locked up at the Burlington County Jail, online records show.
