Malefactor’s Evergaol is one of eleven Evergaols in the Lands Between of Elden Ring. All Evergaols contain extremely dangerous bosses that can be defeated for high value rewards. Malefactor’s Evergaol is located on top of a cliff northwest of Stormveil Castle. Inside, you’ll meet Adan, the thief of fire, who drops the Flame of Hell God summon. If you can defeat him, that is. From the sanctuary of the Lake-Facing Cliffs behind Stormveil Castle, follow the directions below to get to Malefactor’s Evergaol.
Follow the road west past the Church of Irith (home of Wizard Thops) and the graveyard opposite the church. Continue to follow the road, which curves northwest and goes through a narrow gorge. After getting out of the gorge, you will come across a soldiers’ camp. Defeat the soldiers here and collect the Glintstone Craftsman’s Cookbook if you haven’t already.
After the camp, follow the road north until you reach the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace and just beyond it a nomadic trader sitting by a fire. This merchant can sell you the Nomadic Warrior Cookbook , by the way. Continue north and then northwest into the shallows of the lake, keeping the cliff close to your left. Mount your trusty Spirit Steed, Torrent, and use the Spiritspring Jump near the cliff to launch yourself to the top.
Turn left to face east and you’ll see a large stone circle in the ground surrounded by pillars and possibly at least one strange worm-like creature. These worms and pillars are actually the same thing. They are abnormal piles of rocks and fairly easy to defeat. Just attack them relentlessly and defeat them before they can launch an attack. If they manage to charge up an attack, get out of the way quickly as they can do quite a bit of damage. Abnormal Stone Clusters always drop Ruins Fragments, so like all Evergaols, Malefactor’s Evergaol is a great place to farm Ruins Fragments. Use the glowing platform in the center of the circle to get to Malefactors Evergaol and face Adan, Thief of Fire.
