Manus Celes Cathedral is one of the notable places you must visit in Elden Ring. It’s a place you can access when you’re ready to work your way through Ranni’s quest, and it’s one of the final objectives you can complete in it. In this guide we will cover what you need to do to unlock access to the Cathedral of Manus Celes in Elden Ring.

As said, you have to fight your way through Ranni’s questline to reach this area. You’ll find your way through Nokron, Eternal City, and then back to Ranni with the Fingerslayer blade. After this point you will need to head north to Renna’s Rise in the Three Sisters. From there, at the top of the tower, there is a waygate that will take you to the Ainsel River Main and you will find Ranni’s doll, which will tell you to find a Baleful Shadow, which you can find just outside in Noksetall, Eternal City the red lake.

Defeating it will give you a Discarded Palace Key, which you must use in Raya Lucaria’s Grand Library to open the chest. Inside is a Dark Moon Ring. Now return to where you fought the Baleful Shadow and head forward and across the Lake of Rot into the Grand Cloister. At the location’s waterfall, you’ll find a coffin to interact with and you’ll be transported to a new location.

If you make it through the new area, you can move forward and fight Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. After defeating it, you can now advance in the room to make it an elevator. Once at the top you will reach Deep Ainsel Well and northeast of this location you will find the Cathedral of Manus Celes where Ranni is waiting for you to complete her story.
