Gameloft has just released the latest game in the LEGO series, an RPG game called LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed.
It promises hours and hours of gameplay with access to tons of iconic characters from various other games in the LEGO franchise. What’s more is that the characters come from across the different series games, such as Ninjago, City, Pirate, Castle, and Space.
The game also supports being able to play with friends as easily as possible. Something which you don’t see in a lot of games these days.
LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is a cross-platform RPG game
How does Gameloft ensure that playing with friends is as easy as possible? Simple. Make the game cross-platform. It’s taking a page out of Fortnite’s book. Allowing you to play with friends no matter who plays where.
The game is available on Android, iOS, and on Windows, so if you play on Android and your friend plays on Windows, you can still battle it out or group up for quests.
It’s a feature that more games really should allow. And one you won’t find often enough.
Of course cross-platform play is just one of the many excellent features that LEGO Legacy has to offer. This is a turn-based strategy RPG so combat is a little bit slower paced and you’re allowed to take your time think out your next move.
You can build real LEGO sets
Any kid likely remembers growing up with at least one set of LEGOs. Fond memories of building sets together with friends or siblings. And then the feeling of accomplishment after finishing something that took a particularly long time.
LEGO Legacy appears to promise that same feeling thanks to the build feature. In the game you can build real LEGO sets that came out as physical products. Spanning across the same themes as the characters that will be in the game.
Gameloft doesn’t mention anything about how many sets are included, but it does state that there are more sets to come on top of the ones that are already there. There could even be a chance of some sets being featured that come from more popular franchises.
LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is a free game to download and play. There are micro transactions included but these are always optional. LEGO games also have a tendency to win over fans, and are usually pretty good. So players can probably expect a decent experience with this one.
