Fans of strategy, Metroidvania, and puzzle games with Amazon Prime will love the August batch of free games.

Prime Gaming has revealed it’s new lineup of free games for the month of August. The games include classics like StarCraft as well as interesting indie titles such as Beasts of Maravilla Island. Here’s all the new games available this month and how to claim them on different platforms.

The new Prime Gaming free games this month include the following titles.

  • Beasts of Maravilla Island
  • Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises
  • Recompile
  • ScourgeBringer
  • StarCraft: Remastered
  • Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders

Beasts of Maravilla Island is a photography-themed puzzle adventure game set in a lush isolated landscape. Family Mysteries is a hidden object puzzle series, and the Poisonous Promises entry is now completely free. Recompile Zac McKraken is another puzzle game in a world where everyone is quickly becoming less smart. Metroidvania fans may like Recompile, which is a massive digital dungeon full of secrets and action. ScourgeBringer rounds out the indie list as a fast-paced roguelite platformer.

StarCraft: Remastered is probably the biggest haul from this month’s free games. The updated version of the real-time strategy classic currently retails for $15 on Battle.net. While best known for its long-running competitive scene, the game also includes a ton of single-player and cooperative content. All of these free games can be claimed form the official Amazon Prime Gaming website.

How to claim free games on Amazon Prime

To claim free games on Twitch from Amazon Prime, head to the gaming rewards section on Amazon. Here’s a quick link.

From there, navigate down to the individual game pages and click on each link for the games you want. Also included is a short description of the game, so feel free to browse games you haven’t heard of before. Each free Prime game may have a slightly different claim method as they are not all available on every gaming platform.

After clicking the claim button for each free Prime game, players will either need to launch them through the Amazon Games client or through another separate launcher. This month’s StarCraft: Remastered must be activated by connecting Twitch Prime and Battle.net accounts. Claim each game whenever it comes out to find exact instructions.
