Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up Valeria Sizova is an exceptionally talented supermodel and winner of many beauty pageant, here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, skin care, hair care and her success story.

Namita Nayyar:

You were born in Vladivostok, Russia, and later relocated to Sydney Australia. You did your Bachelor of Political and Social Sciences degree majoring in Government and International Relations. You later started working as a fashion and glamour model. This propelled your modeling career to the height where you have been a leading fashion and glamour model. Tell us more about your journey of hard work, tenacity, and endurance?

Valeria Sizova:

To be honest, the modelling career was never a plan however entering one of the local beauty pageants and being placed 2nd Runner, I picked up a few modelling jobs from that. Being a professionally trained dancer with Diploma of Excellence in Music specialising in piano, my catwalk, feel for stage and posing skills were already there at some intuitive level of understanding what I should do. However, I was very realistic with myself and started to work on improving my basic set of skills and work towards improving my overall appearance, fitness level, skin condition, ability to suit different clientele by expanding portfolio and posing skills. Pageants gave me a bit of a short cut into modelling but definitely in a tougher way as no one likes to be judged and being on that stage with going into rounds of judging segments does bring a lot of stress and insecurities to your head. But I defiantly learned the hardest and fastest way on what to work on in order to achieve good results. Within a couple of years competing I won Miss Russia Australia 2017, Miss Smiwsuit Model of the Year, Australia 2018, Miss Face of Origin NSW 2018, 1st Runner Up at World Finals representing Australia in China, Miss Multiverse Russia 2019, Miss Multiverse 2020 World title held in Dominican Republic, and current title Miss Elite Australia 2022 and I will be travelling in June this year to proudly represent Australia on International Stage at Soma Bay Red Sea, Egypt.

Regardless of these modelling and pageants’ highlights I have never stopped studying and working as I believe knowledge and learning new skills sharpen your brain and give you unlimited opportunities so I have been working as a Human Resources Manager for 6 years, opened my own Dance and Entertainment company called Icrave Dance & Entertainment where I teach and choreograph for dance shows, obtained Master Trainer certificate in Fitness, Real Estate Certificate and currently working in Real Estate.

Namita Nayyar:

You have won many beauty pageant titles. Like Miss Russia Australia 2017, Miss NSW Face of Origin 2017, Miss Swimsuit Australia 2018, Miss Elite Australia 2022, second place in the world for Miss All Nations which was held in China, and Miss Multiverse Russia 2020, then World Title – Miss Multiverse held in Dominican Republic. Tell us how these wins have acted as a catalyst in your professional modeling career that has taken you to a meteoric rise as an international published model?

Valeria Sizova:

Pageants have definitely escalated my career I guess compare to going through multiple casting calls as you appear on stage in front of hundreds of people that you can be noticed by and selected by brands and for ambassador jobs. After I took the World Title in Dominican Republic – Miss Multiverse 2020 which was a TV Reality Show/Beauty Pageant, I was offered a position as an Executive Producer of the Show to run the pageant here in Australia. This TV Reality Show/Beauty Pageant is very different from any I have competed so far as models are getting tested on intellectual potential, social and emotional capabilities, physical strength and endurance, catwalk skills, sense of fashion, leadership skills just to name a few. After winning IQ test, fitness challenge, leadership and marketing challenges and taking a crown home I was very excited to bring this concept here to Australia and put our beautiful models to the test. I have just finished filming the Season for the show which will air in a few months on Amazon Prime featuring the models from different states of Australia and seeing them going through the toughest challenges which I believe can demonstrate how important for models these days to be able to bring a lot more to the table than just being naturally pretty and photogenic. So, stay tuned for my season of Miss Multiverse Australia edition!

Namita Nayyar:

You are a leading media personality, supermodel, influencer, choreographer, beauty pageant winner, entrepreneur, and brand ambassador. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?

Valeria Sizova:

First of all – I love life; I love people so I love doing life as weird as It might sound. I just love living my life to the fullest and leave footprints of my work that can potentially make someone’s life better, influence or motivate them to do the greatest things.

Behind the scenes, my life can seem quite boring as I do miss out on social gatherings with my friends, occasional dinners, movie nights, extended holidays and just having a day off sounds a little bit unrealistic in my current climate, but I do get energy from the excitement living this life and achieve results.

At the end of the day, when I feel tired, exhausted or even frustrated, all I can think about is somebody might go to bed now and have some rest or concentrate on a bad day they had. But let me do another couple of hours of work to get closer to many greater things in life that I might miss out!

Namita Nayyar:

You have completed Certificates 3 &4 in Fitness and is a qualified Master Trainer and Nutritionist adviser. How this education and knowledge has helped you in your excelling in modeling and beauty pageant career?

Valeria Sizova:

To be honest, when I started to compete I couldn’t eat at all and I would starve myself for days before because I was so nervous and felt like any meal will make me feel 10 kilos heavier so I ended up with being super exhausted and with lack of any nutrients which I understood were not healthy for my body and mind. So since I’m a person who likes to challenge myself and deal with the problem, I decided to obtain Master Trainer certificate and start nutrition course – reading about it and educating yourself on diet and exercises are essential for absolutely everyone regardless of what job you do. I believe our gut is our second brain and we have to treat him right. When it comes to exercises – pageant wise, we can improve our posture, our walk developing a stronger core that directly affects our balance especially having heels on. As well as working as a model and posing for hours – you need to train your body and muscles so you don’t get too sore by the end of the day. Improving your posture and toning your muscles through is not something you would do just for a pageant, this is something everyone is battling these days due to sedentary jobs in the office, hospitality workers being on the feet all day, drivers and many more people who underestimate the importance of these exercises.

I did compete in natural bodybuilding competition in ACN and won two NSW titles in bikini section in Australia. I don’t think I did it right as I was feeling sick on stage so I believe doing these types of competitions require a lot of time for training, meal planning and preparation, eating, most importantly -adequate amount of rest and have somebody very experienced to guide you with the right advises. These titles I took – I prepared and trained by myself with no guidance which I think made me feel so sick on stage so don’t underestimate professional advice from trainers who have done it for many years and care about your wellbeing as their first priority.

Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?

Valeria Sizova:

If I am at the gym – pull-down for my back, working with cables triggers to switch more muscles in general, bodyweight workouts are great to keep you in tone with minimizing injuries which we can’t afford these days having our busy lifestyles. I do cardio and I truly love it – which can be an issue or boring for some I understand – but do a big favour to your heart and choose your favorite type of cardio instead of weights to serve your ‘best friend’ so it can supply you with more years of healthy life.

Everyone is so different so whatever suits and feel better for your body are the best exercises because our body knows better and we sometimes underestimate it by following the trending advises that doesn’t suit absolutely everyone.

Namita Nayyar:

Do you take a special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Valeria Sizova:

I wouldn’t call my diet strict, most importantly I try to avoid word ‘diet’ as the stigma behind this word that already subconsciously creates stress for our body and we don’t want this type of stress for us as body and brain doesn’t react well to it anyway.
I like my porridges – I make them as nutritious as possible adding berries, physillium husk for my metabolism, mix of nuts and seeds.
I also love cottage cheese with high amount of protein, and a lot of greens – salads. I am not a big fan of meat, but do I have seafood a few times a week.

Most importantly, if I’m craving my favorites foods – cheese or chocolate – I do have them, as long as I don’t have a kilo of it – I just simply do have some and my body takes it well as there’s no need for extreme diets unless medically prescribed by specialists. Biggest advice I can give is try to avoid snacking as you can lose track on how much you actually consume so try and have proper meals instead so you won’t snack much, and replace juices on real fruits, and fizzy drinks to soda water with some fruit in it or simple divine drink called water.

Namita Nayyar:

You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your haircare and skincare routine.

Valeria Sizova:

I have never been in a beauty salon for any skin or hair treatments. What I do for my skin and hair is make sure I eat nutrient food, drink water to stay hydrated and avoid being exposed on the sun without wearing a sun protection. I do have a certain skin routine – eye cream, face serum, day/night cream, neck cream – 2 times a day plus hydration mist which I spray up to 10 times a day, I carry it with me in a bag. With hair – I don’t do anything with that except doing extensions and I change them every 6 months. Unfortunately I have very fine blonde hair that I never coloured in my life , so I use very fine Russian hair extensions to match my hair type so I can semi protect myself from multiple hair styling done on me for shoots and events. I think the less we experiment with our hair- colour, rough brushing, constant styling, the less we touch it – the better it is for maintenance for long-term.

Namita Nayyar:

You go to different places and work with different professionals for your modeling career. For a model to adjust to different places with their own cultures, it must be difficult, and then to adjust to a modeling career in new locations and with different professional directors, what advice you can give to fellow fashion and glamour models in a similar situation?

Valeria Sizova:

I think we have to educate ourselves on different cultures, traditions, learn a few words in different languages to show respect and attention to different clientele we come across working with. Most importantly – do your job on understanding on what clients are after – mood board, style they are after, communicate to them and ask if they are happy with what results you are getting during the shoot, communicate to photographer, stylists and whoever is on set to achieve what they are after. And Of course, do your job with pride and in the way that by the end of the day you feel like you gave your absolute best regardless of long hours, hard tasks, any malfunction of wardrobe or anything that can possibly happen on the day and it does happen of course so do everything to be a reason of making it the best possible work created.

Namita Nayyar:

You are an entrepreneur who owns a dance and entertainment company called ICrave Dance & Entertainment. Tell us more about this professional endeavor?

Valeria Sizova:

Absolutely, I am professionally trained dancer and when I moved to Australia at the age of 17 I started to teach dance classes for kids between the age of 4 and 15, then teaching classes for adults and then started performing myself at the dance shows. While performing at different Venues and working for a few agencies, meeting and talking to other dancers I realized that things can be done better. So I have started Icrave Dance and Entertainment business in 2018 with my incredibly talented best friend/ exceptional ballroom dancer. What I can say now – despite the 2 years of COVID in Australia and not being able to perform we have created over 400 costume looks and now back in business with incredible crew of dancers. I have over 40 professionally trained dancers, circus trained performers, myself, my best friends and a few lead dancers who are responsible on choreographing the shows so we can accommodate for pretty much any occasion whether it is a podium gig by the DJ booth, a choreographed corporate event or massive festivals.

Namita Nayyar:

Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion and glamour model girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in the field of fashion and glamour modeling?

Valeria Sizova:

Best advice is never comparing you to anyone else, we all meet each other at the different stages of life. Do your best, don’t think how hard you work but concentrate on working with pride, delivering best results and remember while somebody is sleeping, you are working creating something special. Take pride in your work and do you. Regardless on lack of support or words of encouragement that we all need so much but not always get – you do what you are passionate about.

Namita Nayyar:

You have been featured on the cover of GEQ Magazine, in MAXIM Australia, cover for Grazia Magazine and Cover for L’Officiel Magazine just to name a few. Fashion and Glamour Modeling involves doing bold photo-shoots. How you are so body confident and advise your compatriots?

Valeria Sizova:

I think before getting into shoots and modeling jobs you must feel confident and be happy with your body. Don’t go into modeling to gain confidence because you are getting paid for it and clients don’t want to see you battling with your insecurities , they want the best possible results so own your body and do your magic.

Namita Nayyar:

How do you train your abs? One secret to your toned body.

Valeria Sizova:

No secret to be honest, just being consistent because our body appreciate regimes and good training habits, I work a lot with bodyweight so training session can be long and I don’t underestimate the stretching activities and cardio – if I don’t feel like running – I will simply walk on the treadmill. And Of course, eat nutrient rich foods to spoil your healthy lifestyle.

Namita Nayyar:

Five foods you absolutely love and five you keep to a minimum.

Namita Nayyar:

What do you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and the message for its visitors?

Valeria Sizova:

Just would like to say thank you for being different people of different backgrounds to share their stories, tips and experience that can be valuable to people and enough to change somebody’s life for a better.

Namita Nayyar:

Your idea of a perfect date?

Valeria Sizova:

Definitely not in a night club, somewhere quiet so you can actually talk, something active to do or visit a comedy show, I think share a laugh/joke and cool experience can bond you faster.

Namita Nayyar:

Today social media plays a vital role in putting your message across to your followers and fans. What is your message for followers on Instagram?

Valeria Sizova:

It drives me insane how social media affects a lot of people in a bad/unhealthy way, but all I would l like to say – don’t judge and compare your life to the picture perfect posts people publish. Because I am very private person, I never share when I am sad, stressed, anxious, upset, crying – that’s because I like to deal with this on my own, so we all have our days – so never wonder and think just because people don’t share certain information, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen to them as often as you might experience it in your life.

Social Media is a great platform that connects people worldwide, brings a long of business and work to us, educate us but don’t dive deep in the topic of comparison your life to another person, because we always all want to put only the best representations of ourselves and that’s just human nature. So only take the best out of social media platforms as we are gifted with them in our modern world of technology. And message to my followers – I appreciate every single one of you and thank you for your support – it means the world to me!
