WATCH REPLAY: After being scrubbed Friday, SpaceX successfully launched Saturday evening a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral carrying the Galaxy 33 and Galaxy 34 commercial communications satellites for Intelsat.

ABOVE VIDEO: After being scrubbed Friday, SpaceX has rescheduled the launch for Saturday evening of a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral carrying the Galaxy 33 and Galaxy 34 commercial communications satellites for Intelsat. The launch team is targeting liftoff for 7:05 p.m. ET.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – After being scrubbed Friday, SpaceX successfully launched Saturday evening a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral carrying the Galaxy 33 and Galaxy 34 commercial communications satellites for Intelsat.

The Falcon 9, topped with Intelsat’s Galaxy 33 and Galaxy 34 satellites, lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 7:05 p.m. EDT.
The Falcon 9’s first stage came back to Earth and landed on SpaceX’s A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship about 8 minutes after launch. The robotic ship was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, a few hundred miles off the Florida coast.

The satellites will be positioned in geostationary orbit to provide C-band video and television broadcast services in the United States.

The satellites are built by Northrop Grumman.
